Gameday Merch previously known as Guild is an apparel company based out of Minnesota that is under the umbrella of Global Impex USA. Gameday works with professional athletes and influencers to create custom merchandise and websites to enhance their brands. Currently, Gameday works with over 20 professional athletes and influencers and is rapidly growing. Some of the athletes that Gameday currently works with are Cordarrelle Patterson, JC Jackson, Vonn Bell, Eli Apple, and David Njoku. Gameday works with these athletes to create merchandise that effectively reflects their personalities and passions so their fans can support them on and off the field. Gameday wants to elevate all of our client’s brands far beyond the sport that they play.
To do this we use our team of in-house designers to make sure that all of our clients are satisfied. Gameday/Global is a tight-knit family that works together every day to deliver high-quality and innovative projects.
Job Description and Role:
You will work with professional athletes and influencers to help enhance their brands through merchandise and custom websites. You’ll have hands-on experience working with athletes and their agents to create products to engage their fans on a new level. Interns will work closely with the company owners to learn how to effectively communicate with clients. Interns will also have the opportunity to take on new roles and experiment with their own original ideas. You will be researching new potential athletes and agencies and reaching out to help bring them on board. Interacting with our clients on multiple social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter will be a frequent activity. You will also work with our in-house design team to create unique social media posts that highlight our players and influencers and promote their merchandise and brands. All of these will be crucial to make sure both parties will benefit.

Tasks and Duties:
Reaching out to professional athletes, influencers, and their agencies.
Calling and reaching out to professionals athlete marketing agents in various sports like NFL, College Football, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, E-Sports, Volleyball, Swimming, Track and Field, Tennis, Women Athletes, and more
Calling Global Impex's textile customers and leads to enhance your sales skills
Research and find new customers, clients, sports agencies for Gameday and new customer leads for Global Impex
Meeting with athletes and their agents through phone calls or zoom meetings to brainstorm ideas to create their personal merchandise.
Work with the design team to create promotional social media posts.
Strategically target new potential clients.
Interact on social media with fans and athletes to boost engagement.
Following up with customers to make sure they received their orders.
Communicating effectively with other team members
Work with the vendors for apparel for order fulfillment and servicing the customers
Work with the analytics team to evaluate sales, and social media outreach and modify sales and marketing strategy as needed.
Work closely with the owners and management
Helping social media and PR terms with postings, blogs, new releases, and more

Duration
The internship is for 2023/24
Pay:
You get a stipend of 500 $ along with a bonus of 500 $ and a sales commission for 15 weeks and work part-time for 15-16 hours a week. You will work remotely as an independent contractor with a very flexible schedule. After the first semester the pay and the bonuses double (based on performance) and you will be promoted to Team Lead. After two semesters you will be absorbed in the company payroll based on the two semester's performance review.
What You’ll Receive
At the end of the internship, you:
Will be awarded a certificate after successful completion.
Will receive a $500 stipend and the potential for a $500 bonus along with a sales commission.
Will have the opportunity to gain a full-time position based on the performance of three semesters.
Could be promoted to team lead.
Could be part of the management team based on the performance review of the first 3 months.
Will be working with a team of interns from across the country from various schools and diverse backgrounds representing 10-20 leading schools in the country and abroad.
Will have regular and direct access to the management.
Learn entrepreneurial skills from business professors receive Mentorship and Learn team building.
